Great Opportunity for a retail Pharmacy Manager that wants to work in hospital pharmacy.No evenings, no weekends!

Hours:Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.

As a CPSStaff Pharmacist at Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center,you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.This position will also participate in patient care roundsand work with treatment teams as assigned; including direct patient care activities such as patient education. This is a staffing position and will be the Pharmacist In Charge (PIC).This position will work Monday-Friday primarily at Dorothea Dix but may need to cover at Riverview Psychiatric and will rotate call for both Dorothea Dix and Riverview.

About theFacility:Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Centerformerly known as Bangor Mental Health Institute located in Bangor, Maine is one of two State psychiatric hospitals under the Maine State Department of Health and Human Services. DDPC is a 51 bed psychiatric hospital serving two-thirds of the State's geographic area that provides services for people with severe mental illness.Riverview Psychiatric Centeris a 92 bed acute care inpatient psychiatric hospital operated by the State of Maine. Riverview treats any referred and appropriate adult who require intensive 24-hour psychiatric services.CPS has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.

Pharmacy:The pharmacy uses Pyxis and Medics. Management of the pharmacy has been outsourced to Comprehensive Pharmacy Services. In addition after hours order entry services are provided by CPS Remote Solutions.

Requirements:

• Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD)
• Active Maine pharmacist license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year recent experience as a pharmacist in hospital or retail
• PsychiatricResidency And/OrBCPP a plus
• Experience in a pharmacy leadership position desired
• Effective verbal and written communication

Hospital Requirements:

• (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof ofnegativeTB skin test within thelast 12 months
• (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
• Varicella -(2)documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
• (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1^st-April 30^th
