Discount Drug Mart, Inc., and Ohio-based drug store chain, opened it first store in Elyria, Ohio in 1969. Gradually, we expanded throughout northern Ohio and into central and southern Ohio, with many more sights on the drawing board. Our strategy of consistent controlled growth has made us a dynamic, financially stable company.

We take pride in our highly skilled and friendly staff, the latest systems technology (including pharmacy automation), and our well-stocked pharmacies and stores. Discount Drug Mart pharmacists, store managers, and corporate support staff are part of a professional team.

Discount Drug Mart was founded by a pharmacist, who is also currently our CEO.  As our name implies, pharmacy is not an afterthought - it is a cornerstone of our business. The pharmacy profession and our pharmacists are held in high regard. We are a retailer that was founded by a pharmacist who understands the needs of a pharmacist.
